Let's Party...
Upon arrival at Antigua's VC Byrd Airport, a lasting memory will become the one of the live steel band at the entrance to the arrivals area and a cold glass of a freshly made cold drink...! Watch it, though as you may find your right foot to start tapping and you might like to swing your hips a little bit...!! The first of many good experiences you'll be having here, considering the number of places, delightful restaurants, hotels and many beaches where live music fills the air and many a karaoke may turn a stage frightened falsetto into a star, with adoring, screaming fans, and all!
Depending on where you decided to stay, you might be nearer or further from where you will find a lot of entertainment. The island engenders a feeling of relaxation and people are 'cool' all around, always looking for and finding fun after hours. A local favourite is an elegant Italian restaurant, early on, before it transforms to a pulsating nightclub later on, found at English Harbour. It's called Abracadabra and can become quite a tongue twister after a few shooters! You may even find fire eaters, belly dancers or any one of a variety of theme night parties and definitely lots of happy folks swinging to the rhythm of anything from blues to hard rock. Good idea to phone and book a table if you'd also like to eat there.
