In this section we're hoping that you are thinking of a hot Caribbean holiday, whether coming to Antigua and Barbuda could mean just a nice holiday, maybe you'd like to get married, to renew your vows, to celebrate a special birthday or anniversary or perhaps a business meeting. We suggest you check whether you need a visa, as you wouldn't like not to have one by the time you board the last flight heading this way, to then find you can't get on! Antigua's currency is known as the Eastern Caribbean Dollar (we call it an EC Dollar) and has a fixed exchange rate against the US Dollar, but not the British Pound. It's always better to check the currency situation and have enough funds available for your visit. Just a side note, you have to sign and confirm that you're NOT in possession of more than the equivalent of US$10,000 in cash when you enter the customs area. Credit cards are accepted just about everywhere, so rather just have the funds in there and do we really have to remind you to always know where your credit card(s) is ;-) ?
